Creamy and bright with a spicy ginger kick, this immune-boosting Strawberry Ginger Smoothie Bowl is a fresh, healthy breakfast ready in minutes. It’s nutrient-packed, low in calories, made without added sugar, and naturally vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free.

Strawberries are a delight—sweet, colorful and full of vitamins and antioxidants. I enjoy them all season long, using them in baked goods, smoothies and fresh salads. This Strawberry Ginger Smoothie Bowl is one of my spring favorites: creamy from frozen banana, bright from strawberries, and finished with a lively hint of fresh ginger and warming Ceylon cinnamon.
Smoothie bowls are simply thicker, spoonable versions of smoothies. Their dense texture makes them ideal for adding a variety of toppings—fresh fruits, nuts, seeds and superfoods—so every bowl can be different and visually appealing. They’re also fun to make with kids, who enjoy decorating their own bowls.

For this bowl I use ripe banana and strawberries that I freeze for at least four hours. Frozen banana gives an incredibly smooth, ice-cream-like texture and natural sweetness, while strawberries bring freshness and color. I also add fresh ginger and a pinch of Ceylon cinnamon for extra flavor and health benefits; both spices are traditionally valued for their warming and digestive-supporting properties.

Choose toppings you enjoy. In my bowl I used sliced kiwi and banana, chia seeds for fiber and omega-3s, ground hazelnuts for healthy fats and crunch, plus goji berries for their vitamin C and antioxidant content. These additions turn a simple smoothie into a satisfying, low-calorie meal that feels indulgent but remains nutritious.
This Strawberry Ginger Smoothie Bowl is vegan, gluten-free and free from added sugars and dairy. It makes a bright, nourishing breakfast or snack that’s easy to customize and looks beautiful on the table.
